Day 1 - Florence:
Arrival in Florence. After settling into your hotel, take a stroll around this beautiful city and absorb the culture and charm. You can visit famous sites such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio. Enjoy a dinner at a traditional Tuscan restaurant.
Day 2 - Chianti Region:
Morning: Depart from Florence to the Chianti region. Your first stop is the famous Antinori nel Chianti Classico Winery. Here, enjoy a guided tour of the winery, followed by a tasting of their world-renowned wines.
Afternoon: After lunch at a local restaurant, head to Castello di Ama. This winery is a perfect blend of art and wine, offering visitors a unique cultural experience.
Evening: Return to Florence for dinner and rest.
Day 3 - Montalcino:
Morning: Head south to Montalcino, home of the famed Brunello di Montalcino. Your first stop is Biondi-Santi, the winery that put Brunello on the map.
Afternoon: After lunch, visit Poggio Antico for another wine tasting session and take in the stunning views of the Tuscan countryside.
Evening: Stay overnight in Montalcino. Dine at a local Osteria and enjoy a glass (or two) of Brunello.
Day 4 - Montepulciano:
Morning: Travel to Montepulciano, known for its Nobile wine. Visit Contucci Winery, one of the oldest in the region, for a tasting.
Afternoon: After lunch, visit Avignonesi, where you can enjoy a tour of their biodynamic vineyard and a tasting of their Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Evening: Overnight in Montepulciano. Enjoy dinner at a local trattoria.
Day 5 - Bolgheri:
Morning: Make your way to Bolgheri, a Tuscan region known for its Super Tuscan wines. Start with a visit to Tenuta San Guido, the producers of Sassicaia, one of Italy's leading Bordeaux-style red wines.
Afternoon: After lunch, round off your trip with a visit to Ornellaia for a tasting session.
Evening: Head back to Florence. Enjoy your final night in Tuscany with a farewell dinner.
Remember to make reservations for all winery visits well in advance. Some wineries offer more than just tastings, such as wine and food pairings, cellar tours, and vineyard walks. Also, the legal drinking age in Italy is 18, so ensure all participants meet this requirement.
